Built with p5.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the system works with modular elements (gradients, shapes text, and images) each influenced by virtual environmental factors such as sun, water, earth, and vitamins.
Every composition is tied to a unique “seed” that determines its initial state and growth pattern, evolving over 21 simulated days and stored in an online visual “garden.”
Root critiques static design systems by proposing a speculative tool where graphics are alive, responsive, and temporal. Influenced by thinkers like Latour and Flusser, as well as creative tools such as Hydra and p5LIVE, the project bridges design, technology, and ecology, offering a new framework for visual communication.
